Hi Tree and family Sorry to hear Keni is getting so frustrated. We just started this thing called "Intensive Interaction" that our speech therapist suggested which "...has been shown to be effective in promoting communication and sociability with people who have severe and complex learning disabilities..." go to www.intensiveinteraction.co.uk it is by an English guy called Dave Hewitt. We have found in just 1 week she is learning turn taking with sounds when she hears us copy or mimic back to her what sounds she makes. She has started giggling appropriately when we do the sounds back to her like it is a game. Ask your speech therapist to try it with her. It is really just 10 mins or so a day 1:1 playing and responding to her sounds, movements, facial expressions etc.My 14 year old son loves doing this therapy with her. Just this week Ashleigh has started doing her own version of a sign for food consistently. Liz
